Interrail – I um’d and ah’d about this for a while, in SUMMER 2017, I did a trip using trains and buses in Central and Eastern Europe (Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary) for a month, but didn’t use the interrail pass as I decided it wouldn’t be worth the money for me. But it counts.

  1. Hi Bea, I think I can help you when you want to visit Rio to spend Carnival. But I must say, the Rio Carnival as you know, with the samba schools parading on the boulevard is now more marketing
    than real party. Tickets to see the parade of samba schools is expensive and this time prices soar in the city. I think what counts as knowing curiosity, I myself have never seen a live show, only on TV. I think you would like more of street blocks, in which people will hear the costumed carnival and dance music on the street even without expensive floats banked for money laundering. Rio is much more than the Carnival, and Brazil also. I will gladly be your cicerone if you want to know Curitiba, my hometown, in South of Brazil… Rio is stunning, but in Carnival is very expensive and similar do India when local people realizes you are a foreigner…
